VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS....

                                                                         Date:17-10-11

To
The Hon'ble Home Minister
Government of Andhra Pradesh (Telangana State)
Hyderabad.

Madam

Sub:- To take action officers who are violating/oppressing the human rights under the guise of arrests during the ongoing agitation of "SAKALA JANULA SAMME" and further to withdraw all the cases registered against agitators. Req. Reg.

It is to be stated that the action of the Government through its Police force would clearly show that they have been violating the Human Rights under the guise of curbing the Sakala Janula Samme agitation demanding for the separate statehood of Telangana ( September 13, 2011). It is clearly understood that the actions initiated by the Police i.e., the recent attempt to murder on Swamy Goud who is leading the Telangana NGO's, the indiscriminate lathi-charge on students, women and all other sectors of the Society who have been participating in the agitations demanding the Separate Statehood of Telangana. The highhanded action of the Government in sending armed forces to the places where agitations have been taking place without any arms and illegally detaining the Osmania University students campus and such other things would crystal clearly goes to show that the human rights are being violated. Earlier also your Government did not take any action against the persons who violated Human Rights. Further your Government has also failed to implement the Orders of Justice Subhashan Reddy, Former Chairman State Human Rights Commission which is very unfortunate.
The History says that the demand for Separate Statehood of Telangana will be there till the peoples dream is achieved and it cannot be oppressed by any means. However, we request you to stop these unethical attempts for oppressing the agitation and further we demand you to stop taking any sort of decisions that is depriving the legitimate rights of the People of Telangana in various sectors such as Employment, Education, Industries, and Socially, Economically, Politically and other related issues and to save guard the interests of People of Telangana.
The Central and State Governments are thinking that they are taking steps for curbing the demand for separate statehood but at the same time they are forgetting that they are violating the Human Rights. The recent arrests of the Women and many other students and agitators who participated in the Rail Roko incident would clearly show how the human rights have been violated and further it also shows that how the false cases have been registered against innocents.
Hence, we therefore strongly demand your Government to take stringent actions against the officers who violated the human rights and further we also demand to withdraw all the cases registered against the agitators.
